Nestled in a usually damp but very beautiful valley in the Brecon Beacons in Wales, is the longstanding and ever popular Green Man Festival. This is a bit of a different one for us in that we only offer henna rather than our full range of services. We are part of the Nature Nurture area, run by Soul Stretch events and it is definitely a favourite on our festival calendar.
The Green Man goers are a hardy lot, and despite having to deal with rain on a regular basis, carry on regardless and really make the best of the festival! They are also a very loyal bunch, with the same people coming back year after year, which is lovely for us as we have built up a bit of a client base, which is not that usual at other festivals.
This festival is unique, as it has the Settler's camp, enabling people to arrive a few days before the festival starts - to camp, explore the area and be entertained in the evenings in the Settler's bar. Many lasting friendships have been made due to this and families meet up year after year to enjoy the festival experience together.
Being part of the healing area is a lovely experience, being surrounded by people giving and receiving treatments, hearing the sounds of the gong as people are healed by their vibrations, and the overall chilled out vibe is a joy to work within.
We consider ourselves lucky to be able to see so many amazing musicians throughout the summer, and Green Man is a definite highlight, with an eclectic lineup of gems for our enjoyment after a long day of henna-ing.
